Earth Day Every Day
Experience Earth Day, Every Day!
Earth Day is an annual global event celebrated on April 22 in more than 193 countries.
First started in 1970, it is now celebrated by over 200 million people. So how can you get involved? There are lots of fun and easy ways to celebrate Earth Day that can have a meaningful impact on the health of the Earth—not just on Earth Day, but all year long.
🌎Explore this activity guide and grab your friends this Sunday to do your bit for Mother Earth:
Plant something. Try bringing more plants inside your home. Studies show that many plants scrub pollutants from the air and help to provide your indoors with much-needed oxygen.[i] Even the smallest apartments or tiny homes have nooks where you can put plants. But don’t stop there—get outside and plant trees, flowers, or a vegetable garden on your property. You can also support nonprofits that plant trees in cities or forests and join them for an event. In honor of Earth Day, Shaklee will plant one tree for every Get Clean Starter Kit you purchase. #OneKitOneTree.
Get outside. The choices are endless when you step out your front door. We often forget what it is like to walk among trees or how good the soil smells when working in the garden. Try going for a hike, bike ride, walk, or run.
Support animals. While there has been some debate over the last few years, nonprofits like the Audubon Society suggest it is a great idea to feed wild birds. It is also especially important to provide them with water during the winter and dry seasons (and even more so during droughts). Bird feeders do need to be cleaned from time to time to help prevent the spread of bacteria among the birds that feed there. You can also help wild animals by supporting nonprofits that support animals. Consider donating to or volunteering with your favorite group. 🐕🐦🐈
Travel together. The cars we drive are one of our biggest impacts on the environment. Try carpooling, using public transportation, walking, or riding a bike.
Enhance energy use: Try adopting different strategies to reduce energy use depending on the situation. You can reduce your energy use by simply caulking around doors and windows, or make a bigger commitment by installing solar on your roof. Unplug appliances, video game consoles, and old DVD players that are not in use (they drain energy even when they are not turned on). Your air-conditioner/heater uses the most energy in your home, followed by the hot water heater, refrigerator(s), lighting, and televisions/home entertainment units, turn down the dials. Start small, unplug a device!
Take a break from technology. Taking a break from tech may not only reduce your energy use (see above), but it can also help you to get outside and enjoy the day. Try putting a pause on the digital dive. ⏸
Contribute. The world needs you to help maintain and restore the natural environment. Many beaches schedule cleanup days on Earth Day. If your favorite spot does not have an activity, organize one! 🌲Plant trees, fix trails, repair old homes.
Make a year-long commitment. Use Earth Day as a beginning to make a year-long commitment to support some part of the environment. Use less energy, walk to work, eat more vegetables, or support worthy causes. Need an easy one you can commit to for the year? While shopping, use reusable bags and try to avoid products with too much packaging.
We hope everyone enjoys our Earth each day!

Symbiosis
Symbiosis: The Art of Living Together
Symbiosis is a term describing any relationship or interaction between two dissimilar organisms. The specific kind of symbiosis depends on whether either or both organisms benefit from the relationship.
Clown Fish & Anemone: “The symbiotic relationship between an anemone (Heteractis magnifica) and a clownfish (Amphiron ocellaris) is a classic example of two organisms benefiting the other; the anemone provides the clownfish with protection and shelter, while the clownfish provides the anemone nutrients” - National Geographic

Exploring Crystals
Crystals are a powerful way to connect with Universal Life Force Energy.
Each crystal, stone, gem, is a gift. Honor its energy.
When embarking on your crystals practice, continue trusting your intuition. This can feel like, letting crystals choose you. When studying the varieties, you may notice that they can be categorized based on the elements, chakras, astrology, and more!
It is easy to fall down a rabbit hole of insights about these powerful stones. From my personal practice with crystals. I cherish the special moment when a crystal speaks to me. Feeling this exchange of energy aligns me with my intuition and what my guides are here to teach me through the medium of earth’s gems.
I trust that each crystal is unique and has healing properties. Intuitively working with them allows us to select the stones that align with the energy that is needed to foster our natural flow.
There are a variety of practices to charge crystals. I suggest trying what flows with your rituals and routines. I love to charge crystals with sound vibrations of Tibetan Tones singing bowls and stating the intentions that I wish to activate the gem’s natural gifts. This may be as simple as the mantra, “May the natural properties of this stone be activated and aligned for the highest good.”
Energy
Notice the shifting energy,
Exploring the various forms of energy, “In the body, thermal energy helps us to maintain a constant body temperature, mechanical energy helps us to move, and electrical energy sends nerve impulses and fires signals to and from our brains. Energy is stored in foods and in the body as chemical energy.”
Energy is everywhere.
There is an infinite ever-flowing exchange of energy. How do you choose to participate?
Ground

Bonsai Tree
I gave a Bonsai Tree to my Dad as a gift and am researching the care process and looking forward to documenting our growth journey. The tree seeds have been germinated and cooled for a week.
The seedlings are now on a North West windowsill. 🌱
Our first Bonsai tree seed did not make it. We are grateful for the lessons that we have learned along the way. When traveling to the Botanical Garden in Colorado, I was deeply inspired by their Bonsai Garden. There I learned the age of each tree and their trainer. Looking into each unique tree, I felt the spirit and soul. It was beautiful to see the expression through the bark and leafs. It was truly magnificent.
Fairyly like Ferry Rides
Looking out the top level of the ferry boat, the water washed away my worry and the wind filled me with gust to continue cherishing the magic of the elements surrounding me.
Sun & Moon 12.6.2021
As the sun lowers, the sky is illuminated with an ever-flowing specturm of light.
As the spectrum of colors fades into the night, I surrender my sorrows, despite fright.
Looking up at the sky seeing the light of the moon as it approaches its peak, offers many lessons for reflection. Illuminating the darkness, the moon continues the cycles of lunation.
What may our natural rhythms reveal?
